Brandy Calvert

Brandy Calvert Ringelmann holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics and a Bachelor of Adult Education, both from Brock University. She is the creative force behind the art gallery These 4 Walls, and a passionate mixed-media artist. While Brandy’s love for art began at an early age, it wasn’t until she became a busy mother that she returned to her artistic roots, seeking a meaningful outlet. In 2010, she took her creativity further by starting a fashion-based business, which only deepened her connection to colour, texture, and design.
Brandy’s art is a vivid reflection of her unique perspective, primarily focused on mixed-media and abstract works. She uses a diverse range of materials, from magazines and paint to ink, markers, and anything that sparks her imagination. Her creative process is inspired by nature, fashion, and the textures and colours she encounters in everyday life.
Her work invites viewers to experience the world through her eyes, exploring the vibrant combinations and rich layers she finds in the mundane, transforming them into striking pieces of visual art. As Brandy herself says, "I use nature, fashion, and just about anything you see in everyday life to look for interesting colour combinations and texture, influencing the pieces I create."
